Does your organisation, church, community, or school want to grow in its understanding and practical outworking of God’s heart for children?

Entering the World of Children is one of our courses that is presented within a partnership context.

We first listen to your unique needs (consultation process), and then we formulate a strategy (strategic planning) that fits your vision and unique context. This usually includes our three official partnership training courses (Entering the World of Children, Helping Children Grow in Faith and Entering the World of Families) and any specific needs-based training that is identified during the strategic planning phase.

During the strategy implementation, we build competencies for your staff or ministry team through training to eventually help achieve a multiplication stage where participants are trained as future trainers.

Overview

Children had (and still have) a special place in the heart of Jesus. How does He enter into their world and build relationships with them?

Through this course, you can:

  • Discover how Jesus entered the world of children
  • His attitudes
  • The skills He used
  • How children responded to Him
  • Practice the attitudes and skills of Jesus – make them your own
  • Apply the attitudes and skills of Jesus in the community – where children and adults are living, working, and playing in the streets

Process:

To enter the world of children, you have to learn to speak their language of play and storytelling. With that, an attitude of humility, love, and great respect for children and their parents will help you gain their trust. When you practice these attitudes you will grow in your understanding of Jesus.

Each training day consists of demonstrations, discussions and practice, after which you go into the community to apply all you have learnt. You also learn from the community, because you learn from experience.

Subjects:

Understanding God’s heart for children:

  • Matthew 18: 1-35

Building relationships through:

  • Respecting children
  • Joining children in their world
  • Connecting with children on their level
  • Playing yourself into a child’s heart
  • Storytelling
  • Listening and responding when children talk
