How to apply for a training partnership


  1. Contact Petra College
    The leadership of a church denomination/Christian organisation who are overall responsible for their children’s ministry on national level, should communicate their interest in a partnership to the This could be the General Secretary or General Secretary for Children’s Ministry of a church denomination or the National Head, Public Relations Officer, Director for Children’s Ministry or a person with the same level of responsibility of an organisation.

  2. Present a proposal
    This correspondence should include a short proposal that indicates:
    • the needs, challenges and objectives of the church/organisation concerning training for effective children’s ministry;
    • the future role and goal settings for their leaders to be trained, as well as for the children’s ministry on national level;
    • name and position held by the church/organisational leader who put the proposal to Petra College;
    • name of the church denomination/organisation;
    • name of country plus contact details (postal and e-mail addresses, website, telephone numbers, etc.).

  3. Approval of the proposal
    The proposal for having a training partnership with Petra College will then be reviewed by the management of the Training division at Petra College concerning the shared vision of the college and partner-to-be. The church/organisation will be informed whether the proposal has been accepted and will also be furnished with the partnership agreement and additional information.

  4. Agreement and implementation of the partnership
    The proposal for a partnership agreement includes a description of the training strategy and programmes as well as related objectives, responsibilities and activities of the partners involved. Mutual correspondence and/or visits may follow to finalise the partnership agreement officially. Petra College then appoints a project leader who will be responsible for the role of Petra College in the implementation of training according to the agreement.
    The agreement also includes a commitment regardless of changes in personnel of the partners, as well as for evaluation of the partnership when one or two leaders are finally equipped as mentors to further develop the children’s ministry of the partner.
