Gerhard Strobos has been a Training Facilitator at Petra Institute since 2007.
He studied chemical engineering and obtained his Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Pretoria. He then worked at the CSIR in industrial process water treatment for 6 years.
Gerhard married Carmari in 2010. In 2017, twins Caleb and Emmeri were born. They moved to Tanzania in 2015 and served with the AICT to equip facilitators for the national children's camps.
Gerhard is currently busy with his MTH on the role of oral narratives in the faith formation of Maasai households. He is also associated with Geita Christian College where he aims to help pioneer a model of theological training that gives prominence to narrative teaching.
In addition, he helps to coordinate Petra Institute training in East Africa, with his wife Carmari.
